If you want a quiet place to work on your laptop in Chiang Mai, Still.Coffee&Life is worth knowing about. Hidden on the fourth floor of a building near Warorot Market, it takes a little effort to find—but that was part of its appeal for me.
I arrived around 1:30 p.m. and stayed for about three hours. There were very few customers, the air conditioning was comfortable, and I could concentrate without feeling distracted. The trade-offs were the stairs and a less convenient toilet setup.
Still.Coffee&Life at a glance
- Best for: quiet, solo laptop work.
- My drink: Matcha Honey, 120 THB.
- Wi-Fi during my visit: 290 Mbps download and 190 Mbps upload.
- Power: outlets in several places; availability depends on your seat.
- Payment: I paid cash; credit cards were not accepted when I visited.
- Main drawbacks: a fourth-floor entrance reached by stairs and a sixth-floor toilet requiring a key.
Finding the entrance: look for the small sign downstairs
The cafe is at 20/1 Wichayanon Road in the Chang Moi area. The small sign on the ground floor is easy to overlook. I followed the stairs up to the fourth floor, passing floors that looked unused or more like storage spaces than active shops. If you are expecting an obvious street-level cafe, the approach can feel a little unusual.

A genuinely quiet afternoon of laptop work
Inside, the cafe feels much more welcoming than the approach might suggest. White walls, wooden furniture and natural light make it an easy place to settle in. I worked indoors with the air conditioning on and was comfortable throughout my three-hour stay.
There was only one staff member and hardly any other customers during my visit. That gave the space the calm atmosphere I was looking for. Of course, this describes one afternoon, not a promise that the cafe is always empty.

I noticed outlets in several places, although I would still check the seat before settling down. This is a cafe rather than a dedicated coworking space, so I would not assume that every table has power or that calls are appropriate simply because Wi-Fi is available.
Wi-Fi: 290 Mbps in my speed test
My Fast.com test recorded 290 Mbps download and 190 Mbps upload, with 5 ms unloaded latency and 149 ms loaded latency. In actual use, the connection worked smoothly for my laptop session.

Matcha Honey: refreshing rather than rich
I ordered the Matcha Honey for 120 THB. The matcha note was gentle, while the honey and a lemon-like freshness stood out more to me. It tasted light and refreshing rather than like a rich matcha latte.
It was a very hot day, so that clean, refreshing taste was exactly what I wanted. If you prefer a strong, concentrated matcha flavor, my description is worth keeping in mind when choosing your drink.

Ordering in English was straightforward. QR payment was available, but I was told that credit cards were not accepted, so I paid in cash. The counter sign asks customers to order one drink per person.

The main drawback: the toilet is on the sixth floor
The toilet is two floors above the cafe. You need to ask the staff for a key before heading up. I found it less clean and comfortable than the toilets at other cafes I had recently visited.
For a longer work session, this is the detail I would most want to know beforehand. Using a toilet before arriving would make the visit easier, and the stairs may make this an inconvenient choice for anyone who finds climbing floors difficult.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, for quiet, independent work. The Wi-Fi, cool indoor space and lack of distractions made it a good fit for my afternoon. I would choose it when concentration matters more than an easy entrance or polished facilities.
Opening hours: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Check the latest hours before making a special trip, as cafe hours and facilities can change.
